Aid for Women is always looking for volunteers to assist our staff in a variety of areas. Whether you would like to interact with our clients, help with bulk mailings, or participate in fundraisers, we encourage you to contact our office!
Counselors
Our volunteer counselors provide over-the-phone and face-to-face counseling to women, men, and families who may be experiencing an unplanned or difficult pregnancy. Volunteers listen to the client's circumstances and needs and offer information and resources that will help guide the client through the decision-making process. Training is provided by Aid for Women.
Mentors
Our Mentor Angel Program offers ongoing assistance to girls and women who face serious challenges related to pregnancy. This program allows clients to develop one-on-one relationships with a trained mentor who will offer caring friendship and guidance throughout the client’s pregnancy. The mentor is able to provide information and encouragement with regard to a healthy sexual lifestyle, referrals to maximize available help to the client, education and instruction on parenting, and most importantly, a caring shoulder to lean on during this difficult time.
Mailings/Fundraising
If you would rather work behind the scenes to support Aid for Women, you could help organize a baby bottle fundraiser in your parish or school community, set up a baby shower for a client or help the office staff with bulk mailings.
